Utah is now requiring all OHV operators to complete the free Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Education Course. Operators under the age of 18 shall possess a youth OHV education certificate in order to operate an OHV on public land, road or trail. Operators 18 years of age or older may operate an OHV if they possess an approved adult OHV education certificate. The once-in-a-lifetime course is expected to take less than 30 minutes to complete.

FAQs
What is the purpose of the new
Utah OHV education course?

Can you rent from us without this course?
No! It is Utah law to complete the course. Before you pick up make sure you have it done. We will need proof of completion before you take off.
Do drivers under 18 years of age need to take the course?
No. Drivers under 18 are required to take the existing, separate youth OHV safety course for $35, or take an approved, in-person hands-on skills course and exam. For more information, click here.
